Shin Kyung-sook: First Korean to Win The Man Asian Literary Prize

Picture-311Shin Kyung-sook, South Korea's most widely read author once again received a prestigious award. She wins The Man Asian Literary Prize 2011 for her novel 'Please Look After Mom'. Shin is the first Korean and first woman to win the prestigious award.

'Please Look After Mom' sold about 2 million copies for its Korean version after it was published in 2008. In March 31, 2011, it was released in English version, translated by Kim Chi-young.
